Silence is LOUD!

So has anyone been to a silent disco before? I had heard about them and had always wanted to go to one and yeah I could see how it might be fun but I wasn't quite prepared for how much fun it was actually going to be.  One of the local pubs had one last night and my friend and I decided at like midnight "what the hell it can be any worse than doing nothing." So off we toddled to the pub and paid the deposit for out headphones and walked onto the dance floor to find people dancing about like usual only we hadn't put on our headphones yet so it was rather weird.  That must be what its like when filming scenes of folk dancing you know how they put the music in afterwards and people have to pretend that they are dancing to a certain song HAHAHA
Ok so we put our headphones on (those really big ones so not too flattering but what the heck everyone had them on) and we took a wee seat until we felt brave enough to actually join in.  Well a few drinks later and when Beyonce's Single Ladies came blasting through the headphones we knew it was our time! We headed to get our groove on and we never looked back really.  At one point we were a little warm so we went outside to the patio area and the beauty was we could still hear the music out there so as any normal person would do (ok maybe not normal but certainly drink fuelled) we kept dancing and before we knew it we had moved most of the rest of the folk outside and we were all dancing our wee hearts out!

I was a bit dubious of what it was going to be like but I can safely say that I would go to another one in a second. Ive set myself the goal of doing as many new things as I can this year (think its cause I'm scared of being on the wrong side of 25 and hate to admit that I might be getting old) and Silent Disco was def one of them so I can tick that off my list.  Next thing - flash mob, so if anyone knows of any happening in or around Central Scotland please let me know cause I'm dying to take part in one.  Oh and if you can think of any other interesting things to try or things that you have tried that you really enjoyed and thoroughly recommend then pleases let me know :)

Wow now that does sounds like a hell of a lot of fun, let me know next time you are going as I think that would be the awesome.

As for being the wrong side of 25, meh age really us just a number dude and you more than anyone should know that already. Life is for the living, I know it is a cheesy old saying but these old sayings are old for a reason. I have met plenty of 50 year olds that have more energy and do more exciting things than I so there is a lot to live for :D

There are lots of fun times ahead and I sure plan to make the most of them!!!

Take care.
