good effort!

Well despite having been awake since around 5am this morning I'm still awake but I am now seriously finding it hard to resist sleep.  Not too bad of an effort if I do say so myself.  Got a call from Jamie to say they arrived safely at Hammerfest in Wales.  Apparently its actually in some holiday park and they are staying in wee chalets or something - how strange that sight must be...Pontins filled with metallers our their nut and shouting for Sepultura amidst caravaners sitting under their awnings enjoying their dinner which they have carefully cooked in their wee galley style kitchen! Actually Jamie assures me that its still the closed season for the holiday park so no old ladies will be harmed during their weekend, that is unless there are any old ladies who are closet metal fans!!

Enjoyed another evening of watching Ghost hunters and such and once again I have freaked myself out and keep forgetting I will be sleeping in this house myself perhaps not the best plans and you would have thought that having done it last Friday would have taught me a lesson! (Christ there I go again using numerous exclamation marks)

So if you ask yourself what have you done today to make you feel proud (thanks M People) then I can answer the question thusly (Dean Tavalures stylee):
During an RME lesson with my class where I was aiming to teach the the story of creation and how God created the world in 6 days (of course I don't actually believe that but heh sometime you gotta do what the man says) and a little boy piped up in the loudest voice " Miss Procek how did God create the universe and man if there were already dinosaurs roaming around the earth long before there was man?" This was exactly the question that I was dreading but knew it would come at some point and actually could have guessed which child would have asked it(oh I was right by the way!).  I took a wee second to think about it before answering him - "Well science and religion are two very different things and when people believe in something so strongly then all they need is their faith to believe its true and no amount of science of evidence of anything of the sort will make them believe any different and although you may not have the same beliefs it is only right to honour the beliefs of that person and not try to enforce your beliefs on them whether or not you think theirs is true" he seemed to be quite satisfied with the answer but you just know he is going home think "that was total bollocks" and I think he could tell I was thinking the same thing as him cause as they have had me as their teacher since August they know I am a very scientific person and know there is no way I believed what I was telling them but all I can say is i did my best and I think, even if just slightly, I may have got away with it!

Well sadly Im up again for work (once again my other job which I ahve yet to explain) in the morning so its time to head to the land of nod and say adios for now.
